Prospectiuni is the largest geological/geochemical service company in the region. Our laboratories offer a wide range of services, including water analysis (drinking, industrial, environmental, medical etc.), air sampling, soil/rock sampling and geochemical sampling. We operate with state of the art equipment and experienced, well qualified staff.
We are now active in the fields of environment protection and waste management. We carry out environmental impact assessments, waste management studies, risk evaluations (for contaminants) and monitoring programmes. We can also assist with producing financial solutions and budgets. We comply with standards set by the National Agency for Environmental Protection and the European Union and our own HSE&Q systems and procedures.

Recognition
Our environmental activities were recognized in 2009 at the Romanian Green Business Gala, an event organized by Finmedia and Piata Financiara. At this gala held in December at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, companies considered to have made an important contribution to environmental management were rewarded with 'Green prizes', in particular to acknowledge decisive actions taken in reducing pollution and maintaining a clean environment. Prospectiuni received a "Waste Management" prize, reflecting our integral approach to environmental matters. The Gala was chaired by Mr. Ionut Purica, energy and environment expert from the Romanian Academy. Other attendees included representatives from government agencies, local authorities and many private businesses.
Corporate Social Responsibility
Prospectiuni is launching an environment program called "I DO Care" which targets in particular universities and young members of the population. This program is being developed by holding open forums, attended by well-known personalities from the industrial social, economic and political domain. These 'VIP's' answer questions raised by students concerning (for example) Romanian environment strategy and general environmental issues.
A competition has been launched to generate new and innovative ideas and action plans for reducing economical/industrial environment impact and for developing new green technologies and energy sources. The best idea or action plan will be awarded by the Prospectiuni management team who will then facilitate it's implementation. The winner will receive a 'prize' in the form of a financial award, internship with Prospectiuni or assistance in implementing the winning idea.
